Blue River is constantly searching for highly skilled merger and acquisition professionals to join its growing, industry leading team. We provide a fast-paced professional environment where team members regularly collaborate on projects and across the company to insure client results are achieved.
Blue River is a nationally recognized M&A Advisory firm that delivers proprietary deal flow to private equity firms and acquisitive corporations. The Business Development Team searches across North America, Europe and Asia to identify acquisition targets that match our clients’ investment theses. Advisors are expected to have exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, as they articulate business opportunities to CEOs and owners of middle market businesses.
Blue River also delivers customized investment banking services to owners seeking exits, recapitalizations, management buyouts, generational transfers, ESOPs and other corporate finance functions – collectively referred to as the “sell-side”. Advisors hoping to join the sell-side team will have a deep understanding of business operations with an ability to articulate complex financial matters.
Traits of successful Blue River professionals invariably include:
High ethical standards
Sense of humor
Business background with MBA and/or JD preferred
Given that the Baby Boomer generation is the largest group of private business owners, and that most Baby Boomers are expected to exit their businesses over the next 15 years, it may be an ideal time to join the Blue River team.
Merger & acquisition advisors
Blue River Financial Group is searching for professional Merger and Acquisition (M&A) Advisors (a.k.a. Investment Bankers) to serve on its business development and sell-side teams. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in financial consulting, financial sales or C-level operations (e.g., CFO, CEO, CIO). Business ownership experience is not required but highly desirable.
Compensation is performance-based with participation in team rewards. New team members typically enjoy modest earnings resulting from the efforts of other team members early in their careers. However, the typical gestation period for compensation arising from direct performance is typically 6 months or longer. Consequently, the role is typically best suited for those who have experienced success in the past and are looking for exceptional long-term compensation based on individual performance.
